The philosophy of Rhythm & Grace Dance Studios can be summed up in one simple statement:

Dancers are made with Rhythm & Grace!™

To us, this is more than a simple "marketing" line, it really is what we are about.

Keeping our clients' personal dance desires is central to everything we do. You will see that the first time you contact us and come to the studio. You will know you are understood when we start you or your child's lesson. We will be on time, and with our full attention. You will discover the ease and simplicity that learning to dance actually can be as you or your children are introduced to the basics to the dances being studied and progressed to higher levels of skill and variety as one becomes more proficient. There will be more and more enjoyment as one starts experiencing the benefits dance brings to all people as the lessons progress.

More confidence will be found with each accomplishment and we will regularly be checking with you to ensure your private lesson time is still being directed towards your central goals and desires. As you become more aware of what dancing has to offer your life - you may find goals change. (That's to be expected and welcomed.) One learns how to move and discovers how to keep a cadence. All the while, one will feel a regular and routine tempo in progress to where one wants to be and one will be actively transforming into the dancer one is aspiring towards. One will have a rhythm themselves and in their progress, just as there is a rhythm in a dance, a song, or in life. The dancer gains rhythm.

It is routine early on for students to comment on (and parents of young dancers to notice) the welcome changes they feel in their posture, their ability to move, their poise, they way they look better and their health and energy. (It is also common for those who thought they started dancing too late, any time is a good time to start dancing. Our 60 plus crowd will tell you dance transcends the limits of age.) In time, through learning dance with us, the dancer becomes seemingly effortless in movement and form. Their bodies develop a sense of symmetry. One will feel a sense of fitness and ownership of themselves in a way that persons not brought into dance might never experience. In short, the dancer develops grace.

The basic reason we work to keep your desires central, to ensure we are accountable for our actions, and to do all we can to ensure you can experience what dance has to offer you - is to give you a place and people that help you discover and define your own rhythm and grace. So, this is why we always proudly say (no matter how corny it may sound), "Dancers are made with Rhythm & Grace!™"

Our studio offers training in a vast number of dance styles and skills, in addition to growing personal fitness services. The company was founded in 2014 by Angel Criado and his wife, Cree. Angel Criado has been a dance professional for over 30 years, and trained by some of the best the country has to offer. Cree Criado had excellent experience in not only many popular forms of dance, but also, early childhood developement, administrative and managerial processes - making this team extremely cohesive and successful in their service offerings.

The studio was founded initially in Lakewood, Ohio, as a ballroom and social dance school. In that, the studio received many awards and accolades (see Awards, Accolades & Certifications article) for outstanding service and high level students. It was founded on the premise of offering a much more transparent and honest system of business, rejecting the more off-putting aspects of the dance industry in terms of sales pressure and drama. This methodology was well received by clients. Since then, Rhythm & Grace has expanded into other forms of dance, primarily for children. Now, the studio's service offerings include lessons in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Pointe, Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Acro/Tumbling. Of important note are the individual certifications some of our teachers have in early childhood development and First Aid - which is not common in other studios delivering similar service.

Currently, Rhythm & Grace resides at 7647 Broadview Rd., in Seven Hills, Ohio. The studio is located in building one, in the rear suite.

The teachers of Rhythm & Grace are extremely qualified in the dance forms they teach.

For adults taking partnership dance classes, their teacher (Angel Criado) has been a dance teacher for over 30 years and can work with students of any age and level.

For those interested in our services for their children, in addition to our highly recommended staff, here are some important bullet points that make us stand out amongst other studios:

  • Our studio owner (Cree Criado) has worked with kids on an educational level for over 10 years and was a pre-school teacher with an extensive amount of early childhood development hours logged.
  • Our primary Taps & Twirls™ teacher (Ms. Cheryl) is a current registered teacher in a neighboring school district and works with main stream and special needs children.
  • Amongst our instructors, we hold certifications in everything from childhood nutrition to children's health and safety to the basic necessities of infant and child First Aid and CPR and communicable disease.
  • We are trained to handle a child's every behavioral up and down and we have a bag full of tricks to keep everything running as smoothly as possible.
  • We have over 30 years of childhood education between us, and that number grows every year!

Please come on in and see for yourself what we are about, and remember...
